ZIO Interactive offers cute cat capers in 3D.
Hello Kitty is one of the world's megabrands, popular way beyond its native Japan. Now maker Sanrio is setting its sights on App Store success too.
It's released a game, Hello Kitty Parachute Paradise, developed for it by South Korean firm ZIO Interactive. The title sports 3D visuals, and besides Hello Kitty, introduces players to other Sanrio characters.
"Offering fans the ability to take Hello Kitty along on their iPhone and iPod touch is a natural extension of our digital entertainment product portfolio," says Robert Ferrari, VP of publishing and business development for Sanrio Digital in North America.

ZIO's global marketing director Sohyun Park says the developer worked hard to make a game that would appeal beyond hardcore Kittyphiles.
