Sandisk SDHC card: This one goes past 11

SanDisk is testing a 12GB microSDHC flash memory card with phone manufacturers.

The new card represents a 50 per cent boost in card capacity from the current commercially available maximum of 8GB. Obviously, high capacity cards are critical to the evolution of the phone as music player, cameras and video recording devices.

12GB can store a combination of 1,500 songs, 3,600 photos and 24.5 hours of video.
SDHC is the designation for an SD-based card over 2GB and adheres to the new spec required for cards and hosts to support 4GB to 32GB capacities. It was developed by the SD Association.
