Milestone reached for flagship Bada phone.
The announcement, made on Twitter by Justin Hong (Bada OS project leader and architect), should be a source of pride for Samsung, which has gambled on creating its own smartphone platform for its higher-end devices.
The firm also makes Windows, Android and Symbian phones so its Bada move raised some eyebrows.
The success of Wave should help vindicate its strategy to build a platform that can deliver an ecosystem and act as a source for apps.
Developers of Bada apps get deep access to hardware capabilities such as GPS, contacts and camera. There will also be APIs for in-app purchasing, face recognition, multipoint touch and Flash support.
