Samsung takes Music Hub to the US

Kicks of with a free trial – and a free album – on Galaxy SIII.

Samsung Music Hub is a major launch by the Korean OEM. It launched in May in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK, and is based on the technology acquired when Samsung bought mSpot.

The service builds on the previous download-only version of Music Hub with streaming, subscriptions and radio. It positions Samsung to take on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Google Music and iCloud.

Indeed, only today Amazon confirmed major upgrades to its cloud music service.

In Europe Samsung Music Hub premium users pay EUR /£9.99 per month get to upload and access their entire music collection anywhere, have unlimited streaming and can radio stations based on the artists they like.
