Samsung salutes the kernel with corn phone

Samsung has unveiled two new handsets made from corn for extra buttery goodness.

The environmentally friendly W510 and F268 are made from corn-based plastics and do not use any heavy metals, such as lead, mercury or cadmium. They are also delicious when browned on the barbecue.

In future Samsung will up its ecological commitment with charger alarms and more nature-friendly packaging. The W510 will be launched in Korea in June, while the F268 will hit China at the same time.
