That covers TV and mobile, averaging 10 million downloads a month over its first 10 months.
Samsung says its Samsung Apps store has now generated more than 100 million downloads since launching 10 months ago.
The announcement came alongside other stats, including the fact that there are now 13,000 apps available in the store, which runs across mobile phones and connected TVs.
The store is now live in 120 countries, although Samsung says that collectively, France, Germany and Spain account for 40% of all downloads, indicating stronger momentum in continental Europe. The company says its own bada-OS devices will fuel the store’s growth in the year ahead.
“We are anticipating that Samsung Apps will show a rapid growth in 2011, especially with a variety of the upcoming bada device line-up,” says Kang-Hyun Kwon, SVP of Samsung’s Media Solution Center division. “Through consistent service improvement and high-quality app selections, we will continue to offer optimised application services for Samsung smartphones.”
It took three months for the store to top 10 million downloads, and another seven to hit 100 million. Samsung has been courting developers to port their apps and games to bada for its store, most recently extending an open invitation to Symbian developers angered by Nokia’s deal with Microsoft for Windows Phones.
