Another OS to thrill and delight mobile developers.
The SDK, posted to the Bada developer web site, includes an integrated development environment, simulator, user interface builder, sample applications, documentation and tutorials.
Its release represents more fragmentation for smartphone developers, not least within the Samsung family itself which already comprises devices based on Symbian, Android and Windows.
But as the world's second biggest phone maker, Samsung should be able to command support for Bada on footprint alone.
The first phones running Bada – the Wave – will be launched next month, and others are in the pipeline.
