South Korea's Samsung will unveil an astonishing 12 megapixels of cameraphone goodness as Mobile World Congress later this month, if rumours are to be believed.UnwiredView cites local reports of what will be the world's first 12MP handset, with Samsung apparently ready to begin production by the end of this month for a European debut.
An 8MP handset with 3x optical zoom is also in the Samsung pipeline, it says. The company was the first to launch an 8MP phone (minus the optical zoom) in the form of the Innov8.
MWC is certainly hotting up nicely this year on the device front, with both Acer and Dell set to announce mobile forays at the show.
