Reports suggest negotiations are underway, with other publishers also in the mix
The Wall Street Journal says HarperCollins is working towards a deal that will see its ebooks made available for Apple's much-anticiapted tablet offering (which looks like being unveiled Jan 27th).
The WSJ says there is no inidcation at this time as to how the ebooks would be sold - either through iTunes or via HarperCollins own channels.
However, it does say that there are other as yet unnamed publishers also in negotiations with Apple.
The hitherto slow-burning ebooks market is quickly turning into a frontline battle ground, as device makers and content providers look to ape Amazon's Kindle success.
