Comedienne and author Wax will take the hosting duties at the awards event, which takes place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden on July 7th.
Nice choice. Should guarantee a far funnier and more pleasingly foul-mouthed evening than some of the previous comperes.
Rimma Perelmuter, MEF's executive director, said: “We are delighted to announce the fabulous Ruby Wax as the host for the 2011 Meffys.
"The stature of the Meffys reflects the dynamism of our rapidly expanding industry and this year’s gala will once again gather the best and brightest in mobile content and commerce for a celebration not to be missed.”
MEF also confirmed the deadline for entries has been extended to Friday, May 6th.

Entry prices for 2011 are as follows: £350 per entry; £250 for members of supporting organisations; £150 for MEF Members.
