Rubberduck powers iPhone video for NetCom

Norwegian operator launches mobile TV optimised for Apple's device.

The service is an extension of TeliaSonera subsidiary NetCom’s current Mobile TV and video offering, with Rubberduck Media Lab providing the hosting service, content sourcing and front-end browser design.

Users will be able to watch web-based news clips from Norwegian news providers such as Dagbladet, VG, Aftenposten and Dagens Næringsliv, plus sports and entertainment clips and travel guides from Pilot.

Ola Svartberg, CEO of Rubberduck Media Lab, said: "We are convinced that the usability represented by iPhone will be a driving force for the development within mobile services ahead."

Aspiro-owned Rubberduck also counts Telenor, Sonofon, MTV, Hi3G Sweden & Denmark, BBC, Elisa and Fox among its customers.
