It seems we'll have to wait a while longer for the world's first gadget with a rollable screen.
Polymer Vision has closed its doors, meaning that its innovative Readius gadget - shown off at the last two Mobile World Congress shows - won't be making it to market just yet.
It started as a handheld eBook reader, before morphing into a mobile phone, but never actually launched. The company had been looking for a funding injection earlier this year, but when it didn't materialise, the receivers were called in last week.
At one point, Polymer Vision's rollable screen technology looked an exciting bet for delivering newspaper and eBooks to mobile users. However, its thunder was then stolen by Amazon's (non-rollable) Kindle.
The news certainly isn't a death-knell for flexible display technology, but when someone does make a success of it, Polymer Vision may be looked back on as one of the innovative-yet-unlucky early movers in the area.
