Mexican operator to offer ten live and on-demand channels.
Telcel has enlisted UK-based ROK Entertainment to power its 3G mobile TV services.The Mexico City-based operator will offer ten channels (three live, seven pre-recorded/looped) under the Ideas TV brand, including MTV, Nickelodeon, TV Azteca, History Channel, A&E and the Discovery Channel.
Ideas TV will be available to Telcel's contract and PAYG 3G customers.
ROK says its patent-pending mobile TV technology enables the streaming of video at up to 24 frames per second over 3G networks.
