Mobile video company ordered to pay law firm for unpaid fees.
The High Court upheld a claim made by Field Fisher Waterhouse that it was not paid for an instruction by ROK to advise on the acquisition of Inter Credit Group, an English company with Swedish subsidiaries.
It took ROK to court to recover £73,000 plus interest. ROK disputed that it ever instructed the firm.
An FFW spokesperson told The Lawyer: “The firm made an application for summary judgment, which was heard in the High Court.
"We’re pleased to say that the claim was upheld and Rok was ordered to pay our bills and legal costs in full. The defendant sought leave to appeal but was refused.”
