ROK launches TV in India

Indian operator BSNL is to offer ROK Entertainment's mobile TV service.

The initial Tiny TV-branded offering includes the English Music Channel (EMN), Hindi music channel Geet, entertainment channel Bindaas, Bollywood channel Zoom, a live Hindi news channel and a regional channel from ETV networks

The package is available for a £1.90 monthly subscription to those among BSNL's 28 million customers with appropriate handsets.

ROK CEO Laurence Alexander said: "We're delighted to be working with BSNL on the delivery of mass-market mobile TV as we all recognise India to be such a dynamic and fast-growing mobile market."

ROK TV is also available through Vodacom in South Africa, Avea in Turkey, Telenor Pakistan, AIS in Thailand and via Nokia Downloads on Nokia Eseries handsets across Europe.

In May ROK was acquired by US-based CyberFund.
