ROK Entertainment to market GotVoice and GotSearch services

Partnership with Spoken Communications.

ROK Entertainment Group has announced a strategic alliance with US firm Spoken Communications, which will see ROK marketing the latter's GotVoice and GotSearch services globally.

The former is a speech-to-text transcription service, while the latter is a voice search technology. GotVoice wil be branded as ROKVoice outside the US, and offered to mobile operators.

"We have been looking for a scalable visual voicemail for some considerable time, as we know that such a solution is a killer application," says ROK chairman and CEO Jonathan Kendrick.

"Until we saw GotVoice, we did not feel that any of the existing offerings offered the scalability, reliability and economic model that would deliver value to our carrier partners."

Meanwhile, GotSearch will also be rebranded - as ROKSearch - and will be offered to carriers looking for voice search services across more than just smartphones.
