ROK acquires Player One

Mobile games publisher now part of ROK mobile services portfolio

Player One is a specialist in the field of sports, working closely with a number of licensors like Matchroom to secure IP including Freddie Flintoff Powerplay Cricket, Ronnie O’Sullivan’s Snooker, Jensen Button’s Grand Prix Racing, Frankie Dettori’s Horse Racing and Ernie Els’s Golf.

The company has also created and distributed sports branded wallpapers, ringtones, video clips, in addition to handling the live streaming of sports events.

It's current project, Freddie Flintoff’s Powerplay Cricket, will launch on Nintendo DS later this year and a range of Sony PSP mini games will be available in early 2010. Over the last 12 months Player One has released 20 mobile games in total.
