Beta initiative puts the emphasis on social collaboration
RIM's BlackBerry Developer Relations Team has beta launched a Developer Resource Center, which will aggregate key information for content providers.
The initiative sits within the existing BlackBerry developer forums and will enable users to search by topic in oder to find find the relevant video, tutorial, knowledge base article, sample code and community support discussion.
The full version of the resource center will see the integrated search include product documentation.
BlackBerry's Developer Relations Team is pushing the Resource Center as a social tool, which users able to submit their own articles, documentation or video for inclusion.
This so-called community-generated content will also be another way for developers to earn recognition points as part of the Developer Recognition Program.
