BlackBerry maker could see shares come under pressure as rival handsets launch, say analysts.
Citi Investment research analyst Jim Suva has cautioned that RIM's shares shares could 'face trickier waters' over the next few weeks with Palm launching its Pre on June 6th and Apple expected to detail its new iPhone(s) a few days later.
Reuters reports on a note issued yesterday, in which Suva wrote that the rival launches will be like "shooting the rapids" for RIM shareholders, before adding that RIM was well positioned to ride them out.
Analysts predict that Palm will sell more than 600,000 Pres in the three months following its launch. Apple's will be detailing it next iPhone handsets at WWDC on June 8th, while Nokia's N97 launches on June 19th.
