BlackBerry maker says demand could slow as economic environment impacts smartphones.
Research In Motion CEO Jim Balsillie has described current market conditions as 'intense', despite sales of the company's BlackBerry Bold handset performing 'really well'.Speaking at an investor conference Balsillie said: "This is a more intense time than I've ever known -- more variables, more need to navigate, more hands on the wheel, eyes on the road right now. If you don't, you do it at your peril."
Reuters points out that RIM's shares fell 8.1 per cent this morning to $39.70 after Balsillie's comments were reported.
