Magazine-style layout for Ice Cream Sandwich and Honeycomb.
The music streaming platform has over one million paying subscribers and is looking to build on that number with a new version of its app for Android tablet users.
While the smartphone version favours text, the tablet version has been designed to feature a magazine-style user interface complete with album covers and images.
The app, which runs on Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich, also features news, reviews and features, while also offering music libraries to sift through and offline music play.
Additionally, the app is only available for tablets with nine-inch screens or larger. It joins the apps that already run for iOS, BlackBerry, WinPho 7 and Android smartphones.
Brendan Benzing, chief product officer, Rhapsody, said: "We didn't just resize Rhapsody – we re-imagined the entire experience for the tablet. The tablet is not a giant phone or a mini computer. We are dedicated to creating a premium experience that consistently brings value to every aspect of the Rhapsody service.

"The tablet app delivers on this promise by providing more than just access to music-it's a guided tour of millions of songs and a musical canvas for a myriad of experiences, from collaborating with friends to build a party playlist by passing the tablet around the room, to providing a soundtrack to a recipe or an e-book."
Rhapsody joins MSN which recently created a tablet-focused app, while broadcaster Sky has also embraced Android with its Sky Go platform.
