In-app content, better multi-tasking and more developer-focused features.
Google has just cheered developers up with news of significant improvements to Android Market, but it seems Microsoft is also readying a developer-focused update for Windows Phone 7.
WinRumors cites sources as claiming February's Mobile World Congress will see Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer reveal the update, which will include in-app downloads (and presumably payments), better multi-tasking and more custmisation.
Microsoft's Silverlight technology may also get new features announced during Ballmer's keynote at the show.
Windows Phone 7 has won plaudits for its consumer experience, but adding in-app payments and full multi-tasking would bring it into line with iPhone.
