But Android games generated $900k in revenues in January and February.
Downloads from Google's Android Market remain dominated by free apps, according to the latest research from FADE.
It claims that 98.9% of Android app downloads are free, with 289 million having been downloaded to date by Android's (estimated) eight million users - an attach rate of nearly 35 apps per user.
However, FADE's research also focuses on paid game downloads from Android Market.
It estimates that Google's store generated around $900,000 in revenues from paid games in January and February ths year
It reckons that's up 50% from the $600,000 of revenues generated in November and December last year.

FADE has also tracked the number of games available on Android Market, and claims that 1,200 were added in the first two months of this year.
FADE claims that the top selling game for January and February combined was Lupis Labs' Robo Defense, which sold 24,000 copies at $2.99 (totalling $71,760 in revenues).
The second, third and fourth best selling games were all retro emulators from yongzh, of the SNES, NES and Game Boy respectively.
However, FADE claims that the average Android user is spending just 6.1 cents on games a month, compared to $1 for the average iPhone user.
Its report cites four reasons: the payment UI; 30% of handsets still running Android 1.5; a limited number of countries allowing paid app sales; and the inability of users to download apps and games to their memory cards.
