Robert Redford will be the star attraction at Mobile Backstage, the content-oriented conference at MWC.
The actor, director and Sundance Institute founder will participate in a keynote interview, discussing how independent filmmakers can use mobile to reach new audiences. His appearance follows the collaboration between the GSMA and the Sundance Film Festival: Global Short Film Project last year. The partnership will continue again this year.Mobile Backstage takes placer on Wednesday February 13th. Redford said: “The energy and opportunity that this event presents, not just for business but for artists and their work, makes it particularly exciting for me. The GSMA continues to take seriously both the business of delivering content and the art of creating content, as they lead the exciting mobile sector into the future.”
Redford will also appear at the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards night on Tuesday 13th February, introducing the GSMA’s Mobile Entertainment category.
