RealPlayer software gets mobile uploads feature

Lets users import their photos and sync music playlists.

RealNetworks has added several new mobile features to its desktop RealPlayer software.

Users can now import photos taken on their Android or BlackBerry smartphones to the RealPlayer software with one click, and share them on Facebook.

The application also supports syncing of music playlists between mobile phones and RealPlayer.

The software already allowed people to transfer videos to devices including iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry handsets.

"People today have a range of fixed and mobile devices they use to view video and photos and to listen to music," says senior director of RealPlayer and consumer software Johan Hansen.
