Elsewhere, Qype has also launched a more social version of its Android app, which offers rewards for being a ‘Qyper’, with badges like ‘Mobile Scout’ and ‘Crowd Pleaser’ to be earned.
Additionally the app has been improved, with users now able to change the search locations, edit reviews and sync bookmarks between mobile and online.
Qype has also confirmed a Blackberry app is coming soon.
Weeks ago, Qype raised investment from partners including Vodafone Ventures, and closed a commercial agreement for the Qype app to be uploaded onto supported Vodafone devices.
