Qualcomm looking for 'iPhone developer guru'

CDMA version of Apple's device destined for Verizon and others?

Qualcomm is looking to hire an 'iPhone developer guru', according to a job posting on the company's career's website.

The somewhat oddly phrased job description reads: "The iPhone has no secret for you? Well, that's what you think... join us and develop the most challenging product of your life!"

Qualcomm pioneered CDMA chipset technology that is used by the likes of Verizon Wireless and others around the world.

To date, iPhone has only been made available in GSM flavour, but rumours have been doing the rounds for some time suggesting that Qualcomm would be working with Apple to create a CDMA version of the device.

However, the iPhone guru job description also requests that applicants "have been exposed to application or game development on mobile for years and you have developed deployed apps on the iPhone".

So it could be that Qualcomm is looking to deploy software on Apple's device as opposed to creating chipsets for it. FLO TV perhaps?
