Qualcomm bags former Deutsche Telekom exec for Euro role

Dr Anastassia Lauterbach will be SVP of global business operations Europe.

Qualcomm is ramping up its European operations, poaching a senior executive from Deutsche Telekom to lead its global business operations (GBO) division there.

Dr Anastassia Lauterbach has taken the role as senior vice president of GBO Europe, tasked with running Qualcomm's business interests across Europe, including Eastern Europe. However, Enrico Salvatori will continue to run the QCT division in Europe.

"Anastassia’s experience and leadership will be invaluable as we expand Qualcomm’s efforts to make mobile broadband services more available and affordable in Eastern Europe and across the continent," says GBO head Jing Wang, to whom Lauterbach will be reporting.

Her most recent role at Deutsche Telekom was SVP of business development and investments, while also sitting on the telco's executive technology and innovations board.
