3Pre developer program membership now at 25 companies
Seven new developers have joined Qualcomm's 3Pre program, which optimises, pre-integrates and distributes key software components with the Brew Mobile Platform operating system.
Qualcomm says this allows developers to distribute their applications prior to the launch of new handsets in order to reduce development time and cost.
The 3Pre program offers applications from multiple software companies for several application categories, including browsers, messaging and navigation.
New developers joining the 3Pre program include ACCESS, Bluestreak Technology, Cequint, Funambol, Jibe Mobile, PixSense and UIEvolution, taking the total number of partners to 25.
Mitch Oliver, vice president of ecosystem development for Qualcomm, said: "By fostering increased collaboration within the Brew MP ecosystem, we envision many more devices and applications benefiting consumers who desire a more compelling and personal mobile experience all around the world."
