Mobile live-streaming firm Qik has raised $5.5m in a new funding round.
The round was led by Quest Venture Partners and CampVentures, along with other unnamed investors, according to VentureBeat.
As part of the funding, Qik has a new board member - Quest's Marcus Ogawa - while CampVentures' Justin Camp has joined the company as a board observer.
What Qik does with the money - other than spend it on hosting and bandwidth costs - will be interesting to see.
Although its mobile app has been available for some time, it's getting more of a push now through mobile application stores like Nokia's Ovi Store.
The company may also boost its user base soon if it releases an application for iPhone. Although it's already made a version available for jailbroken iPhones, it has yet to release it on the App Store.
