timesPoynt app will direct users to restaurants, nightlife, events, movie theaters and weather information.
The GPS-enabled app was developed by Poynt in partnership with TIL with data supplied by Timescity.com.
It responds to a search by delivering local results that include directions and the option to send details to a friend, add listings to a device calendar/address book or click-to-call.
Times Group will monetise through ads and advertise the app on radio, TV, magazines and newsprint.

TIL runs the largest Internet portal in India, with more than 1 billion page views per month.
