Hot blogging platform goes mobile.
Heard of Posterous? It's a startup currently eliciting rave reviews from the kind of people who got into blogging early.
The website lets users create posts simply by emailing post@posterous.com from a pre-registered email address - with the site's technology figuring out how to integrate photo, MP3s, documents and videos.
Now it has an iPhone spin-off in the form of PicPosterous. FOcused on photos and videos, it allows people to take them from within the app, have them geo-tagged and then posted.
The app can also automatically update users' Facebook, FLickr and Twitter feeds with the new content.
There's no shortage of UGC iPhone apps, but the buzz around Posterous' web service should help its spin-off app gain traction.
