Pitchfork-wielding device-less fans may also be on the prowl for the burglar.
The Metropolitan Police are looking for 23-year-old Usman Sethi, an O2 employee wanted in connection with the theft of 252 iPhone 5 phones (worth more than £100,000) from the network's Wimbledon store.
Sales of the new Apple device were meant to begin at 9am on Friday (September 21st) but they made an early exit from the store at 1.30am, accompanied by cash from the safe.
Sethi is also suspected of robbing jewellery from his family home.
The shady incident is a far cry from O2's stunt at The O2, which offered Apple fans the opportunity to buy an iPhone 5 from on top of the London landmark.
