Cross-platform mobile developer passes milestone after just 2 weeks on Nokia's store
Sweden's Polarbit says its (mostly free) games have been downloaded one million times for Nokia's Ovi storefront.
Titles currently available are Iron Sight (£3.00), Raging Thunder (free), Armageddon Squadron (free), WaveBlazer (free) and ToonWarz (free).
Polarbit says its Fuse middleware has enabled it to optimise the games fully for the Nokia Game API, which is part of the company's multi-platform publishing strategy.
Anders Nilsson, founder and CTO of Polarbit, said: "Too many developers focus their efforts entirely on the iPhone and release sub-par, Java-like versions on new platforms and markets which are capable of so much more, whereas we are dedicated to ensure that Nokia Ovi gamers receive the same rich, high-end gaming experience as iPhone gamers.“
