Android 3.0 handset on the way with dedicated games store?
Speculation around Sony's plans to launch a PlayStation-branded gaming smartphone are at fever pitch today, following a series of leaked photos of the device.
Gadget blog Engadget bagged the scoop, and has more details on the specs of the handset.
It suggests that the phone will run Android 3.0, and will have a 1GHz Qualcomm chipset inside, along with 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM and a slide-out PlayStation joypad.
It also claims that the handset will be made by Sony Ericsson, and will come with a 'custom Sony Marketplace' to sell downloadable games.
The report suggests that the device in the photos is still at prototype stage, hinting at a release in 2011.
