PlayPhone PXP to help developers manage in-game virtual items from a web-based dashboard.
This is the latest stage of PlayPhone's evolution from an old-school D2C company into the custodian of a social gaming service.
PXP supports Android, iOS and HTML5 platforms, and its features include:
* Ability to set in-game price
* Cloud-based back-ups
* PlayPhone Customer Care available globally 24/7
* Compliant with AppStore policies
* No server components needed to add virtual goods and virtual currencies
Consumers have the option to pay for virtual goods with cash, in-game currency or PlayPhone universal currency using carrier billing.
The first games on the PlayPhone social gaming network are Hakuna’s Farm Invaders (Android), HiGame’s Happy Reef (iOS), China Wireless Arts’ Castle of Shadows (Android), and Talent Walker’s Fish Reef (Android).

"PXP will especially benefit the enterprising game studios giving them sophisticated game economy management features, making their games highly competitive within 24 hours.”
PlayPhone says more than 1,400 developers have signed up to access its SDKs. They include Perfect World, Big Blue Bubble, China Wireless Arts, Magic Universe, Tandem Games, Hakuna, HiGame, Talent Walker and Calibre Games.
