US-based content provider installs Kate Barry to oversee regional expansion.
PlayPhone has appointed a general manager for its EMEA operations in the form of Kate Barry, who had held the biz dev role at the company since 2005.Prior to that Barry spent three years as General Manager UK/IE for iTouch, having initially cut her mobile teeth as a Project Manager at Telstra in Australia.
In her new role she will oversee the development of PlayPhone and its brands, including PlayPhone Hits and Splash Mobile, across the numerous territories.
In 2008 Barry was named one of the ‘Top 50 Women in Mobile Content’ by a magazine not very far from here.
