PlayPhone has become an official off-deck content partner for Virgin Mobile USA.
Off-deck mobile content specialist PlayPhone can now target Virgin's five million users thanks to a billing agreement.The content on offer includes wallpapers and ringtones from the likes of Sony BMG, Cartoon Network and Disney.
The deal means PlayPhone now has connections into all top-tier and most second-tier carriers in the US.
Lauren King, product manager, off-portal content at Virgin Mobile USA, said: “We believe that PlayPhone is a valuable off-deck addition to deliver a diverse and engaging mobile experience.”
In addition to operating its consumer facing mobile destination at PlayPhone.com (in both English and Spanish), the company also powers mobile content destinations for Wal-Mart, ABC Television, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Sega, Real Networks, and I-play.

Earlier this month PlayPhone launched a UK version of its Splash Mobile service.
