PhonepayPlus launches teen challenge

Brings back PhoneBrain for its second year to encourage phone services awareness.

The programme gets students to create a mobile ringtone or business plan in the classroom. This year, PhonepayPlus teamed up with community specialist Habbo and music producer Fugative on the project.

New research from PhonepayPlus shows that 37 per cent of 11 to 17 year olds have used music or video content on their phone in the past six months.

PhoneBrain explains how to use phone-paid services – such as voting on TV shows, entering competitions, and downloading mobile games and ringtones – safely to avoid unexpected charges.

Content entrants will be able to submit their proposals to be judged by a panel of experts and finalists will win a half-day ‘shadowing’ Fugative to get a feel for an average day in the music business.
