UK watchdog has endorsed 13 companies to provide mobile interactive services for TV shows.
In February this year, the overall telco regulator Ofcom announced changed TV rules to make broadcasters directly accountable for ‘phone-paid’ services in programmes.At the same time, PhonepayPlus announced a ‘prior permission regime’ for service providers to help make sure consumers receive a fair deal.
The changes followed a series of scandals, which revealed that millions of consumers were voting for competitions that were closed or on shows that weren’t even live.
The aggregators granted permission to set up new services are:

* Sky Interactive Ltd
* Telecom Express Ltd
* Teletext Ltd
* WIN plc
