New service allows users to upload music to Amazon web locker and stream to a phone.
MusicStash uses a PC user interface to let users select the artists and albums they want to upload, free of charge. The selected files are stored securely on the Amazon Web Services servers and are available upon demand via a phling! MusicLounge-enabled phone.
Earlier this week phling! owner Oxy Systems confirmed that its MusicLounge service will be pre-installed on the Nokia Download! app.
Oxy Systems says MusicLounge changes mobile music from a solo activity to a social experience by providing real-time access to a subscriber's PC-based music collections, by either streaming content or - as of today - uploading it to a locker for access when the PC is switched off.
The service also hosts Internet Radio, giving bands a platform a promotional channel.
