Peperoni peers into the social networking future

Peperoni is working with the World Wide Web Consortium to define the future of social networking.

The German firm has been appointed a committee member for the upcoming W3C workshop in January 2009. It will join 12 others to evaluate the most pressing issues that social networking faces in a converging world.

Peperoni’s peperonity mobile and fixed-line social network has approximately 10 million unique users and half a billion page impressions per month. The firm also  works with O2UK and T-Mobile on off-portal mobile community services.

Marcus Ladwig, COO of Peperoni, said: "We are delighted to see the most important organisation in the web realises the challenges that mobile and web-based audiences are facing. The workshop will definitely benefit from the experience we started to gather back in 2000."
