And predicts mobile payments of $700m through its service this year.
Payments firm PayPal has announced Mobile Express Checkout, a new service to make it faster for people to buy from retailers' mobile websites and apps.
The system promises 'a two-click checkout experience', and has been in beta tests with several retailers, who PayPal claims saw 'double-digit sales growth' from their mobile stores after implementing it.
Starbucks is already signed up, and will be allowing people to refuel their Starbucks Cards from within its iPhone and iPod touch app.
While announcing the new service, PayPal also revealed that it expects more than $700 million in mobile payments to go through its system by the end of this year.
"Mobile commerce is the most significant change in retailing in the last century, and shopping will never be the same," says VP of platform, mobile and new ventures Osama Bedier.

"PayPal is aggressively driving this change by redefining checkout on mobile devices for millions of consumers and businesses across the world."
PayPal has also launched a new version of its own PayPal Mobile iPhone app, with a location-based feature that helps users to find nearby deals and promotions in stores that accept PayPal payments.
The company has also announced deals with VeriFone to help more real-world stores accept PayPal, and Appcelerator to help retailers create their own mobile commerce apps.
The latter will take the form of a white-label platform, due to launch next year.
