Service to fight against 'cramming' by providing a secure m-commerce environment.
Silicon Valley-based mobile payments firm PaymentOne claims One Care will help consumers to manage their mobile payment transactions. This will be achieved through merchant marketing guidelines and investment in new IT systems.
The firm aims to stand against cramming, the fraudulent process of altering a consumer's bill as well as other scams to provide safe m-commerce conditions for users.
Brad Singer, executive VP of PaymentOne, said: "Carrier billing has evolved and matured since the early days of PSMS based ‘free ringtone’ and other questionable applications, and is today a secure and convenient way for consumers to purchase brand name digital goods and services.
"PaymentOne is dedicated to driving full transparency and ethical business practices that give consumers the confidence to fully embrace the ease and safety of direct carrier billing."
PaymentOne says the One Care portal will allow users to track individual mobile payment transactions in real-time. The details will include purchase date, description, purchase amount, merchant name, payment status and more.
