Indian payments specialist PayMate is driving into the US with a new exec team.
It’s hired Dhruv Singh as Vice President of Americas to lead its growth initiatives in the region – especially into ‘unbanked’ consumer markets. PayMate has built a large ecosystem for mobile commerce in India by signing up merchants, banks, carriers, and consumers. PayMate and is accepted by over 3000 merchants.
"The cross border remittance and the US unbanked markets are worth billions of dollars annually. Through this expansion and local presence in the US, PayMate now has the ability to participate in and deploy innovative new solutions to these lucrative markets," said Ajay Adiseshann, CEO of PayMate.
