Now with better metrics, simpler refunds, faster transactions and easier tipping.
US-based PayAnywhere is one of the card dongle firms active in an increasingly crowded market sector dominated by Square, PayPal, Intuit, Verifone and others.
However, it is a division of the multi-billion dollar credit card processing company, North American Bancard, so it has some serious resources to draw on.
The new version of the merchant app that works with its plug-in dongle has been updated significantly with the following features:
* Better detection for Star printers
* Revamped heat maps so merchants can zoom in and out on regions to see where sales are taking place
* Merged tip and signature screen for faster transactions
* More flexibility to issue refunds for specific items or to adjust the price on particular items from directly within the app
“Every feature update to the PayAnywhere app is a direct result of the valuable feedback we receive from our merchants,” said Marc Gardner, CEO of PayAnywhere.
“The app is packed with all the bells and whistles a merchant needs, coupled with 24/7 customer support, for the most feature-rich mobile POS solution available for merchants of any size.”
Merchants using PayAnywhere pay a 2.69 per cent swiped transaction fee, with funds typically deposited in merchant accounts within two business days.
