Parrot puts mobile systems into BMW and Mini ranges

Bluetooth, voice recognition and more coming to a dashboard near you.

The Parrot Connectivity Solutions will be factory-fitted to the BMW and Mini ranges in Europe, North America and Japan from now to mid-2011.

They add Bluetooth hands-free telephony features with phonebook synchronisation, plus acoustic digital signal processing technologies such as noise reduction and echo cancellation.
Parrot also embeds USB and iPod/iPhone connections.

These solutions are based on a Parrot CK5050+ module that is integrated into existing infotainment architecture.

"High-performance connectivity solutions for telephony and multimedia are increasingly becoming commodities in the automotive market...

"Parrot Connectivity Solutions can be very easily implemented in existing infotainment systems, allowing them to stay up-do-date and meet consumer needs through device compatibility updates up to twice a year.” said Eric Riyahi, business units director at Parrot.
