Palm launches 'Software Store'

First Apple, then Android....now Palm has launched its own app store.

Well, sort of. According to mobilecrunch, the on-device portal for Windows Mobile and Palm OS powered handsets - called Software Store - is being run by PocketGear, a  distributor which has rounded up around 50,000 apps for the project. It says over 1,500 developers have already submitted products to the Software Store.

Palm is not being as generous as Apple or Google (70 per cent back) or Blackberry (80 per cent when it launches next year), sharing 50 per cent with developers.
