Alternative to official Google store brings US and US apps to worldwide consumers.
With this Android launch, Mobeep says it will provide a destination for 'disgruntled Android users' looking for apps previously limited to those residing in the US and restricted by 'Google's rigid regulations'.
The project opened officially today with 500 handpicked apps.
Mobeep claims a more user-friendly interface than Android Market, which lets users browse apps by category, view app screenshots and video demos, preview applications as well as recommend apps to others.
It comprises safety features that filter out malicious software and content.
"Our vocation is to provide an open app store that supports every mobile device, every application, and every carrier network internationally," said Ken Leong, CEO of Ozura World.
