Snaps up US mobile performance ad network for $60m
Interesting marriage this. Tatto deals in affiliate based advertising where publishers are only paid if a customer takes some pre-agreed action on the advertisers' website.
Conversely, Asia's Ozura makes apps and social media content, which it distributes round the world from eight offices.
It says the deal with strengthen its ability to 'connect advertisers to consumers worldwide'.
It sounds a little like the kind of vision another Asian firm, Buzz City, is pursuing – attracting large numbers of users to its own content and social media entities and then monetising them through ads.
Larry Tey, chair of Ozura World, said: "This acquisition represents a tremendous opportunity for us to support vertical mobile content providers and present advertisers with an effective platform for reaching their well-qualified, targeted audiences."
